Sentara MyChart login and account access
Sentara Healthcare provides multiple choices to access the patient’s data through the MyChart portal. Patients can use any method to log in and access all medical records and other services.
There are three methods to log in to the Sentara My Chart portal.

- Login on the official MyChart mobile app.

The official login URL of the Sentara MyChart portal is https://myhealth.sentara.com/. Once you click this link you will see the MyChart login form (as shown below). MyChart login form is also available on the Sentara Healthcare website homepage https://www.sentara.com/. If the previous links are not working, patients can also visit the alternate login page at https://www.sentara.com/login.aspx.
If you are a registered user then enter your MyChart username and password and press the Sign In button to access your account.
Sentara MyChart login on the official mobile app.
Sentara has developed the Sentara Healthcare mobile app where all Sentara Healthcare services are included along with the MyChart services. If patients have already downloaded the official mobile app then they can open the app and log in by using their MyChart username and password.

Search the Sentara MyChart login URL on the Epic MyChart portal.
There is a search functionality on the MyChart web portal. If you don’t have the Sentara MyChart website URL then you can search for that on the MyChart website. Just visit the MyChart website https://www.mychart.com/ and click the Access MyChart link.
You will get the Log-In and Sign-Up link of the Sentara MyChart website just below the search form. Now you can open the login pr sign-up page by clicking the links on the search result page.
Once the login page appears on the screen, you can use your MyChart username and password to access your account.
How to recover the Sentara MyChart Username and Password?
There are options available to recover your username and password on the Sentara MyChart login page. These links are useful if patients forget the username or password or both.
How to recover the username?
- Click the Forgot Username link on the Sentara My Chart login page.
- A Username recovery form will appear on the screen.
- Enter your Email address, social security number, and date of birth, and complete the captcha verification.

How to sign up for Sentara MyChart?
Patients will have two options here. They can create a new MyChart account or they can create a Sentara Healthcare account. Sentara MyChart portal and its services are available in the Sentara account also.
Sentara MyChart Sign-Up process:
Please check the below steps to create a Sentara MyChart account.
Step 1: Visit the Sentara MyChart website https://myhealth.sentara.com/.
Step 2: Click Create Account link, you will see two options on the next page.
- Sign Up with the activation code
- Request activation code
1-Sign Up with the activation code:
If you have received your activation code on your after-visit summary then the sign-up process will take a few steps only and you can use your new account within minutes.
Once you click the Sign Up with Code link, an online registration form will appear on the screen. You will have to complete the below-mentioned four steps of the sign-up process.
- Terms & Conditions – Accept the terms and conditions and proceed to the next step.
- Activate Account – Activate your account with the help of your 15 Digit Activation Code.
- Username & Password – Create a new username and password for the account access.
- Security Questions – Set up security questions. It will help to unlock your account in the future if required.
2-Request activation code:
If you don’t have an activation code then you can request an activation code and complete the sign-up process.
- Click the Request activation code link.
- You will see an online form on the next screen.
- Enter your demographic information in this form.
- First, you will have to verify your identity by using your demographic information and after that, you will receive an activation code to create a new account.
- Once you receive your activation code, the further process is similar to what we have explained above.
Sentara Healthcare Sign-Up process:
If patients don’t have any MyChart account then they can access their MyChart account through their Sentara Healthcare account also. Patients can visit the Sentara registration page at https://patient.sentara.com/account/sign-up and create a new account.
Benefits of Sentara MyChart
All patients of Sentara Healthcare can take benefit from all available services available through the Sentara MyChart portal.
View your lab result:
Sentara patients can view their lab test results through their MyChart account. Test results are available 24 hours after the test in the MyChart account. Results from the non-Sentara facility will take longer to appear in your account.
Get alerts:
Patients will get important alerts related to their treatment at Sentara Healthcare such as appointments, lab tests, etc. Patients can also manage these alerts after login into their MyChart account.
Book an appointment:
Patients will get the facility to book an appointment whenever they want to visit the clinic. It’s a very good and convenient option to save time and directly meet with the doctor according to schedule.
View health records:
Sentara patients can view their Electronic Health Records (EHR) once they log in to their accounts. All patient information such as personal details, medication, appointment history, medical history, billing history, etc is always accessible through the website or mobile app.
Schedule a telehealth visit:
Patients can use the telehealth facility to get treatment through e-visit or video visits. These facilities through the digital channel are useful for minor illness and also saves time. The doctor will check if the condition is a minor one and share the prescription online.

i-Sentara Bill payment facility:
Sentara developed a new online bill payment portal where patients can enroll and pay their Sentara medical treatment charges. The Bill payment portal can be accessed at https://www.sentara.visitpay.com/. First, you will have to create a new account and after that, you can log in and pay your bill.
Once patients visit the new bill payment portal, they will find three options.
- Sign In
- Create Account
- Make a One Time Payment
Create Account – Patients can click the Create Account link to sign up if they are visiting the portal first time. A sign-up form will appear on the screen. Fill out this form and register yourself for the bill payment service. Patients can also visit the sign-up page directly at https://www.sentara.visitpay.com/Registration
Sign In – After signing up, patients can again visit the new bill payment page and click the Sign In button. A login page will appear on the screen where patients can use their email address or mobile number to log in with the help of a one-time passcode. Make a One-Time Payment – By using this option, patients can make a one-time payment without signing in. The guarantor number and last name are required to make a guest payment which is located on the billing statement.
ii-Bill payment through Sentara MyChart:
Bill payment service is also available in the MyChart portal. Once a patient logs in to the MyChart account he can access the payment service and pay the required bill by using a credit or debit card.
